People First Media
Media about people, the society in which we live, and topics related to health and wellness
People First Media is a Vancouver Island Mental Health Society program using traditional media (FM radio) and social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) to educate and raise awareness about issues related to health and wellness — with a particular emphasis on topics related to mental illness and mental health, homelessness and housing, and addiction, harm reduction and recovery.
People First Radio is a weekly one-hour radio broadcast “about people, the society in which we live, and topics related to health and wellness.” It’s broadcast weekly from Nanaimo, B.C. on CHLY 101.7 FM and St. John, New Brunswick on CFMH 107.3 FM.
