Arbutus Distillery, located locally in Nanaimo, has begun making hand sanitizer, as many local distilleries have been doing within British Columbia and across Canada. Arbutus has been working diligently on the project and, based on very limited supply, the Distillery has been able to allocate hand sanitizer to health service agencies and nonprofit organizations. Arbutus Distillery has clarified that they are donating 100% of the sanitizer to health care services and non-profits and cannot accommodate personal requests at this time.
Vancouver Island Mental Health Society is deeply grateful for a donation of much-needed hand sanitizer from Arbutus Distillery. VIMHS services are front-line and highly focused on support and interaction with a wide range of folks. During the COVID-19 pandemic emergency, sufficient hand sanitizer is critical to help maintain the health and well-being of both staff and residents/guests alike.
Arbutus Distillery invites inquiries about its hand sanitizer product if you are either a part of the health care community or a nonprofit and distillery staff say they will do what they can to help. Please email info@nullarbutus-distillery.com and include the following information: your name and position within the organization; name of the organization; name of relevant director within organization; and email, website and street address.
Arbutus Distillery has also sent out a HUGE THANK YOU to Industrial Plastics & Paints Nanaimo and Signage Canada Nanaimo for generously donating packaging supplies to help get this work done.
